8. Salon is an independent exhibition space with a research library and several artists’ studios. Founded in 2010 in the former St. Pauli public library, it is a space for artistic production, exhibitions and art-historical research.
Its programme focuses on artists whose work engages with Surrealist and Situationist thought, alongside an ongoing exploration of Aby Warburg’s Mnemosyne Atlas and presentations of contemporary artists from Germany and abroad.
