FIRE | Project by Hamburg City Curator
FIRE | Project by Hamburg City Curator
The public space surrounding St. Nikolai, destroyed in the bombing of Hamburg in 1943, becomes the setting for FIRE. From the Cosmos to the Commons. Curated by Joanna Warsza, who holds Germany’s only position as a City Curator, the exhibition brings together works by more than ten artists, many accessible around the clock. Taking fire as its starting point, the exhibition explores the element as a force of both destruction and renewal.
