The three distinctive buildings of the Hamburger Kunsthalle, located close to the Alster, house one of Germany’s most important public art collections. The Kunsthalle is one of the few institutions to offer an overview of eight centuries of art history.
Through its renowned collection and temporary exhibitions, the Kunsthalle traces the development of art from the Middle Ages to the present day.
