ICAT HFBK Hamburg
ICAT HFBK Hamburg
The ICAT (Institute for Contemporary Art & Transfer) is located on the ground floor of the HFBK Hamburg’s new studio building. Opened in 2022, the exhibition space connects to the street through an expansive glass façade.
As a centre for critical artistic practice and theory, ICAT engages diverse audiences through exhibitions, events, workshops and publications, exploring alternative forms of knowledge and cultural production. Its programme brings together international artists with work by HFBK students and graduates, positioning the exhibition space as an open interface between the art academy and the city.
