Park Fiction

Artistic elements including the Palm Island, Carpet Park, colourful seating areas and striking views across the harbour define Park Fiction, which opened in 2005. Emerging from local opposition to planned development along the Elbe, the park embodies an artistic practice that actively engages with social and urban processes.

Internationally, Park Fiction has been widely recognised as a model for participatory art and urban intervention.
