Planetarium | Project by Hamburg City Curator

As part of the exhibition series From the Cosmos to the Commons, curated by City Curator Joanna Warsza, the former water tank above the Planetarium’s halls is being opened to the public for the first time, accessible by guided tour upon registration. Under the title Bildersammlung zur Geschichte von Sternglaube und Sternkunde, the exhibition revisits Aby Warburg’s presentation conceived for the opening of the Planetarium in 1930, exploring humanity’s relationship with the cosmos, complemented by a dialogue with contemporary artistic practices.
