Woods Art Institute

The WAI Woods Art Institute offers new perspectives on contemporary art. In a unique interplay of architecture, art and nature, it creates a world of its own: the listed park, designed by Rudolf Jürgens, is home to the Reinking Collection. Visitors can explore changing exhibitions of contemporary art, a sculpture park and the historic arboretum. The site also includes studios, workshops and spaces for exchange and cultural engagement. At WAI, art is understood as an interdisciplinary practice.

Getting there is easy: from Hamburg Central Station, the S7/S2 runs directly to Reinbek without the need to change trains. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to WAI, passing Reinbek Castle and following the Mühlenteich.
